Step One: You’re Dead.

Betrayal is damn near necessary to begin the alchemical process. Calcination happens To You. It is not voluntary. It cannot be. The lead of your heart is recognized through assault. Your ego (your Sense of Self) does not die willingly, but must be killed.

So if you’ve come here in the deepest darkest pain of your life, and in fact your life is over: Welcome.

Welcome to The UnderWorld.

if you’re doing just fine, you don’t stand a chance. You don’t belong here. Move on, because none of it will make sense to you. Only the dead can decipher this map.

Step One: You’re Dead.

And it can’t be emphasized enough that this step be thrust upon you, lest you maintain some false sense of power through Choice.

For example, I’ve often heard it criticized of AA that it is problematic for asking you first to admit powerlessness. But so long as what you mistake what you have is Power, you will not continue the steps with the necessary abandon.

You simply cannot do The Work.

You cannot learn The Way.

So long as you hang on,

So long as you live,

You cannot be Reborn.

So in simply terms, Spiritual Alchemy is a Rebirth, and simply requires Death.

Before falling into The Grave, you cannot know your own weight. You will mistake Density for Power.

So fall to The Grave like a Lead Balloon.

They say, “the only way out is through”

The way out of Hell is far too simply for the ego to follow. Again, like AA, such a simply program cannot possibly work against a sophisticated mind.

There is No Mind.

And they say in AA, the 3 things necessary to succeed in this work are honesty, open mindedness, and willingness.

Open mindedness = No Mind

No Better Idea. No idea. Blank.

Honesty = you’re dead. You’re done. Blank.

Willingness = to be here, dead. Blank.

The willingness to be honest that you have no idea.

And so long as you believe You Know,

You never will.
